I'm really impatient for the new SONAR features, so I really like these previews :-)

This new Add track menu seems to be excellent. Great idea. I think that improving the workflow with shortcuts, quick menus, etc. is very important.

I also remember that in the upcoming features, there is a kind of real-time help that tells you what is the function you are using and how to do it. I really want this feature to be released. The SONAR user manual is really excellent but when you're working on a project, you sometimes want to keep focused on it and not to be obliged to search into this big pdf file or into the online help.
I use a software called MAGIX Photo & Graphic Designer 10 and every time I do something or even every time my mouse cursor hesitates between several icons, there's a short bottom help that tells me what to do (press CTRL to do this or ALT to do that...). Pretty cool.

At the time, I too was using S-100 bus computers because I did marketing/advertising for Godbout Electronics, which later became CompuPro.

My first real computer was a CompuPro S-100 machine.  It was huge.  64k static ram.  2-8" floppies in a separate case. Z80, CP/M, Scion graphics, 300 baud modem.  10,000 $  !!   I had to build a ttl circuit to interpret the weird serial protocol of the ibm pc keyboard before being able to use it.  Wrote my own bios for it.  Memories of Byte magazine and Jerry Pournelle...
