Time to kill your gadgets

I doubt anyone is using gadgets on their DAW, but for anyone who has not heard the news from Black Hat, or seen the anticipatory (and remarkably sparse on detail) Security Advisory from Microsoft, it is time to disable your gadgets.

I don't have Gadgets nor Windows Sidebar, but do/did have Vista and did have Zune (Microsoft endorsed from a "Trusted Source") which basically did what Gadgets can do:
"In addition, Gadgets installed from untrusted sources can harm your computer and can access your computer's files, show you objectionable content, or change their behavior at any time."
Sorry for the rant......., but thanks for the update.

Yeah, I killed mine (only had CPU monitor) last week, after the advisory.
From what I read, Win 8 will not even have the option for these.

How do you know you have Gadgets? (Sounds like a disease in any case)

You would see them running on your desktop.
Win7 PCs still be ship with them installed.
The problem appears to be with 3rd party gadgets.
