Does anyone know what settings to set in sonar x1 to use the Maschine as a control surface? ie so that the play/record buttons, the endless rotaries, and various other controls work in sonar? This is using the maschine in MIDI mode, NOT control mode.

I want to do this so i can switch to midi mode, use the maschine as a control surface, then switch back to control mode, and use it with the maschine software as a VST.

I have tried using the generic ACT controller setup, however have had no luck.

i think we have to wait for the forthcoming Maschine update to be able to use the play/record buttons within Sonar, but that is for using Maschine as Maschine. if you get an answer to this issue you want solved, i hope i get to see it!!!
