  • How can I keep from Sonar from sending Local Control Off?

Every time I power up Sonar it sends a local control off to my keyboards. My Moog Voyager, Moog Sub 37 and Waldorf Q all shut local control off and I have to go into menus to turn the, back on again. Is there a way to keep sonar from doing that? What is the reasoning for Sonar sending local control off anyway?

Thanks

Joe

I shouldn't by default unless something has changed recently. Check for this in TSSEQ.INI:

SendLocalOff=1

Delete it or change the value to 0.

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Cakewalk\SONAR Platinum\TSSEQ.INI

 Thanks brundlefly. I have been setting this manually and would like to enable it!

I seem to have only TTSSEQ files. Not TSSEQ.  Is this a typo?

To avoid doubled notes. If you play a synth's keyboard through its assigned sequencer track with local control on you'll get two notes, the one you played directly and the same note sent back by the sequencer. With local control off you'll just hear the latter. It is desirable most of the time to have synths keyboards local off when using an external sequencer. That is the reasoning.
