How is the midi node in waves real tune accessed in Sonar Platinum? Anyone using the midi function successfully? I can't seem to find it.
Thanks

I looked at it however I think you may need to enable MIDI input through the plug-in or do it via Waves Rewire. The stuff in their demos seems to work on Protools mainly without issue.

Thanks for the feedback. Will have to revisit rewire, only briefly reviewed that method with no success yet. It does work in Protools because the node simply appears when inserted.

I tried it and it seems to work really well. You need to do the following...

1. Insert the Waves Tune RT effects on the vocal track (stereo or mono as required).
2. Open the Waves Tune RT insert and on the VST3 dropdown select enable MIDI input.
3. Under MIDI input /Keyboard click on Target Pitch.
4. Create a MIDI track with the notes you want the vocal to "sing".
5. Enter the notes you require on the MIDI track (make sure they align with vocals - may take some adjusting to get it just right).
6. Make sure the output of the MIDI track is set to Waves Tune Realtime and set the channel to 1.

Hope this helps,
ZT

Zinc, in step five you say "Enter the notes you require on the MIDI track" and in step four you say "Create a MIDI track with the notes you want the vocal to "sing". Are these the same notes? Not at home to see so it's a little confusing to me.

Hey, sorry I had forgotten about this thread but glad some folks found it useful.

Grem, I think I meant...

4. Create a MIDI track FOR the notes you want the vocal to "sing".
5. Then enter the notes on the MIDI track you created in step 4 (make sure they align with vocals - may take some adjusting to get it just right).

Hope that's a bit clearer!

Thanks Zinc. That's what I was thinking. Just wanted to make sure it wasn't some real advance technique I was not understanding! 🙂
