...Most of us just have to wait without knowing how long the wait is going to be, since we receive no follow-up emails once the ticket is submitted to Development. The bug may be fixed within a couple of months after it was sent there, or it could take a couple of years (or more).

Some bugs I reported were submitted to development and fixed in the next version. Some took years.
Many are set to "New" to this day, yet some got fixed, some not.
One I was told, is "As Intended" so I gave up. It was fixed some versions later (!)
You just never know.

Also, I personally wouldn't mind about bugs in additional components such as ProChannel, Drum Replacer and VocalSync, as I'd still be able to achieve similar results by switching to the Artist version and purchasing 3rd-party plugins that are similar to those tools. In contrast, there are no such things as track folder plugins, nudge plugins and clip move plugins. I don't want to switch to another DAW just because of these smallish issues. I like SONAR overall. :-)

My sentiments exactly. I have been trying to use Sonar and another DAW in parallel. It just doesn't work. I also have my list of bugs I work around every day. I just hope they get addressed before I hit retirement.

I can imagine that some of these things would be difficult to fix. I'm sorry, but that's not an adequate answer. These are basic DAW operations. If your product is a DAW, your product should do these things properly. Getting these to work right should take priority over new features.

I have to say - those were REALLY displayed nicely to show the issues.  Hope things get worked out with them.

I'm pretty sure the "bug fixing team" operates entirely independent of the "new features team" so there shouldn't be a conflict with priorities.

yeah but both teams will be directed by "product management" who, traditionally, aren't technical enough to understand technical complexity, and may have completely different plans for the product than speculated here

Icontakt, you made an awesome post on the various bugs.  Your GIF screenshots were extremely helpful in identifying and describing the problems.  Great job!

I've been posting gifs of Sonar bugs for months and nobody congratulated me on how nice they looked. Perhaps I was supposed to save them all up for one post like this? ;)

I'm gonna post my bugs like this too, now.
You gonna regret it. :)
