My opinion will have to be "classified as subjective " since you have asked what looks to be an innocent looking question that can actually turn out to be an all out Epic Slug fest depending on who chimes in

IMHO , X3 runs very good in Win 10 ...
The current version of SONAR runs even better in Win 10 ..
A lot better since it was optimized to run on Win 10 while it was still in development .

The current version of SONAR has much better performance that I can verify "subjectively " since I did an in place upgrade to Win 10 64 from Win 8 64 on my main Windows computer .

I have opened up the same exact projects in both SONAR X3 and SPlat in Win 10 and I have seen a remarkable difference in efficiency in SONAR's performance .

Having said that , had I not upgraded to Splat , and had I stayed with X3 ..

I can tell you that I would have been perfectly happy with Win 10 and X3 ...

all the best,

Kenny

Quite a few folks are experiencing crashes with X3 on W10.
But crashes can have many reasons. Like a plug that doesn't like W10 and takes Sonar down.
I'd look into those threads and ask if anyone there has more details.

Thank's for the answers, I'm a little bit slow for all kind of upgrade.  I prefer doing more music but when I made the one from X1 to X3, I was very pleased because it was almost the same with extra bonus.  I know one day I'll have to move on and I read and ask question to make the better move possible.
