Re SONAR Platinum, Jamaica Plain.
I'm just starting with the Tutorials (finally... I've had the software for several months).
In the tutorial about opening a project -- it uses SONAR_AudioDemo as an example -- it says,
-----
"When the project opens, the File Information window appears. This window can be used for storing notes, comments, credits and other helpful information about a project."
-----
However, that's not true. No such window appears. It makes me wonder if there's a more up-to-date set of documentation available somewhere?
If not, is there some way to cause that window to appear? I looked in the "Window" pulldown menu, but there's no mention of a File Information window.

It feels like I'm off to a discouraging start, trying to learn the product...

It is true. Its been in Sonar for ever. You'll find it under Project/Info. If it visible when you save the project it will appear each time you open that project.

With project open, the information screen is accessed from the main main Project > Info....

Thank you. I'll remember that.
I was just taken aback when the specific steps in my "first tutorial" didn't match what actually happened.
I'm guessing that the already-saved example project didn't have that window visible when the project was saved, and that's why the window didn't appear.

Yes I would think that too. There are others that I have that do have the window open on start. Most if not all are much older demo songs. I should think the reference in the manual is referring to one of the older demo files.

Also Sonar has with it a per track note pad that can be used to jot down notes on a per track basis. You'll find it in the Inspector.
