Making some progress here. As wetdentist suggested, I turned off all FX with the FX button in the tool bar above the tracks screen and now the sync problem is gone and it plays perfectly in-sync. And I can even change notes as I tried grabbing a few and moving them around. So I guess Melodyne isn't really an FX itself even though I think most would say it is "FX"-like, or creates an effect that affects us! It's very easy to simply hit the FX "global" button which seems to turn off all normal FX I use like, Izotope 2, Waves Vocal Rider, etc., make your edits in perfect sync and then save them via bouncing to tracks.

Thanx wetdentist, it's getting better all the time, BUT, I just tried it on a multi-track recording I made a few days ago when I first noticed the sync problem. When I turn off all the FX in this more complex song, the scroll bar won't scroll at all yet I hear things playing smoothly but there is no movement of the blob screen - it's just stuck. Frustrating....

OK, another hour of testing and the culprit seems to be how and when FX are implemented and maybe a dash of the Steinberg driver. In my last hour of testing, I loaded the song that I had originally noticed the sync problem with, but this time I held down the 'shift' key before I clicked on the song title, which brought up a screen that asked me which FX I wanted to enable. I chose 'none', loaded it up and then applied Melodyne Studio 4 to the 2 vocal tracks, did the transfer thing, and they actually worked in perfect sync - shocking! After this unexpected success, I added Izotope 2 and, oops, the scrolling stopped dead, so I closed without saving and opened it again, but this time I did allow only the Melodyne FX to load. This time everything worked, Melodyne was in perfect sync and Izotope (which I added later) worked fine as well. However, I hit the "FX" button and immediately all scrolling stopped again within the Melodyne screen. Obviously there's definitely a bug or 2 in there and I hope they fix it soon.

Oh yeah, I also did a little 10 second song where I sang from 1 to ten at the measure/marker points, one track in english and 1 track in german (high school german finally put to use). I panned one hard left and one hard right and "everything" was working great until I tried to add a drum loop and noticed the preview was silent for all the loops - why, who knows it used to work before this latest build, good grief.....and I started this little song with just a totally blank template that imported no known FX. Time for a break... Hopefully they get it all worked and it would be real nice if one could assign different colors to different tracks to more easily differentiate between blobs. Right now, all the blobs are orange which gets very confusing.

Well, it seems having Izotope 2 in my template is a problem but by deleting it on all tracks and adding it back after recording and applying M4S, everything works as expected. So the problem is kinda solved though I don't think I should have to delete things, but it does work in sync now so I'm happy.

I also e-mailed Celemony and asked them if they could make it possible to assign different colors to the tracks/blobs in order to more easily differentiate between tracks/blobs. They said they were already aware of the concern and are "debating" its implementation. Hopefully, they make the change as it is currently nearly impossible to figure out which orange blob belongs to which track.

Anyway, I went ahead and bought the upgrade to M4S as it is really amazing but could use a few tweaks.

OK, I think it's actually not Nectar 2 that is causing the sync issues, instead its the Nectar "Breath Control" plugin that is the culprit. I just looked at the Izotope website and they talk about how this plug-in "looks ahead" which can cause latency issues. I had the Breath Control as my first FX followed by Nectar 2. I modified my template a little by turning off each instance of "Breath Control" in my first 3 trax that are dedicated to vocals. When the breath control is off, the blobs are in perfect sync, and when you turn even one instance "on" (even if a track has no vocals yet) it seems to create the sync issue. Gee, this only took me 3 weeks to nail down, lol! But now it makes sense since that plug-in is one that "looks ahead". Now I guess I can record, apply Melodyne tweaks, bounce, and then turn the breath control on if I wish (or just get rid of them in Melodyne).

Hmmm, I sent 2 videos of my desktop to Celemony clearly showing I had the breath control plug-in active and no one from Celemony mentioned that it could be a likely culprit. Maybe they don't own a copy to test.

Anyway, how do I make this issue SOLVED? I hope....
