Hi Folks,

In Manchester we do not yet bundle the Melodyne 4 installer. This is solely because there were some complications on our end with how the serial numbers get allocated for old and new customers. We are working on that and hope to have the latest Melodyne installer included pretty soon.

However Melodyne 2 Essential itself allows you to auto upgrade it to Melodyne 4 for free, so you can do this yourself. When you do that it will auto upgrade and assign you a new Melodyne 4 serial number. So although us providing the latest installer would be a little more convenient, it doesnt stop you from self upgrading Melodyne.

Is Manchester especially adapted for Melodyne 4 ?    Would M4 work in any previous SPlat version?

The ARA implementation Melodyne 4 works as far back as X3e. There is a problem with early versions of X3.

It will work with previous versions of Platinum. The multi track viewing was implemented someway halfway through the year. I don't recall when but there were several enhancements along the way.
As mentioned that specific feature won't work in X3 since there was no support for it.

I received my update to Meoldyne 4 essentials after installing Manchester.  I was prompted to go to Melodyne site and login and use the Serial number I got from Cakewalk to update to Melodyne 4 Essential.  I then downloaded it and installed it and it was working in Sonar Platinum.

I think I left our a few steps but that was it basically.

FWIW -
I downloaded the Studio upgrade from Celemony's site.
(All editions are available there.)

A careful re-read of their instructions on the site recommended a clean install...

After uninstalling previous versions, and installing the new version, Sonar found it and
it still works as expected via ARA, and the VST3 plugin versions are there as well! Nice.

Now, if I can just get the stand-alone version to run, I'll be happy!

I started the stand alone melodyne single track.
It offered an update link. I followed the link and downloaded the installer.

I did not have a login either and thought I would have a problem but the new version offered a link to activate and I followed that and clicked the activate option on the page. Then it went to a log in which I do not have.

After a few min the stand alone version status changed to activated. I never had to log in at all.

Hope this helps.
