  • [Solved] Is A Track Prochannel The Same As A Bus Prochannel?

Hello,

I have a pretty sweet reverb/delay/eq chain on a track's prochannel that I wish to move to a bus.  Is it OK to save the prochannel preset from the track and then open it on a new BUS prochannel instead?

Is it essentially the same thing or should I save each individual plugin preset and build a new prochannel setup from scratch on a bus track?

im just being extra careful.

Thank You!

Any time you want to get wacky and experiment just do a Save As of the project then go nuts. I do it all the time. If I destroy the project or crush the computer I can just revert back to the previous version of the project.

I'd say about 50% of my "experiments" end in flames. When that happens nothing of value is lost but much is learned (which can then be applied to my REAL projects).

As for Track PC to Bus PC.... don't see an issue but I don't know if the Compressor module will retain it's state (Track vs. Bus version). Probably will.

Also, if your "chain" just consists of a manually inserted Fx chain into the Pro Channel you can save these separately from a Pro Channel preset, useful for building up a library of favourite chains
