Memory = Corsair 16GB or more and ----> 1333mHz and up

FWIW, Corsair DDR3 has been prone to failure...

As long you dont overclock Corsair they usually work just fine. Set the timing and voltage manually in BIOS makes them even better.
By the way, there are not so many options on the memory market. Kingston slow, Ocz memory talk about instability?

I can confirm that from first-hand experience...

Was that the cause of the display corruption you mentioned quite a while back. If memory serves me right, you had temporarily solved the issue by reducing the voltage to 1.5v in lieu of 1.65v, or maybe I'm getting confused with something else? Did you eventually have to RMA the RAM?

That was it.

It was very intermittent and hard to hunt down,

Freddie.

It was a difficult problem to diagnose because it didn't manifest itself all the time.

The memory wasn't performing with the advertised timings correctly at the right voltage.  Basically because it was broken/faulty. I got it replaced and have had no problems since.

Does that make more sense to you?
