similar to peoples sig; it would help us if cakewalk published a list of the hardware (and any pertinent system config) that they develop/test/qa with... while it'll help users make educated choices regarding hardware, os, etc, it could also lead to future "business partnerings" with tascam being the obvious candidate

would also help eliminate all the "system specific" issues maybe?

and make troubleshooting and support requests simpler :)

wishful thinking ...

every system will still be unique - even if you'd force everybody to use all latest drivers, firmware, WIN updates (which reasonable people will refuse to apply while important projects are ongoing) ... just consider all 3rd party plugs you could have in a project - endless possibilities for troublesome combinations ...

you could ask for "certified for Sonar" DAW ... but that's I reckon something to ask hardware vendors for ... and of course that will cost money - there's no such thing as a free lunch ;-)

wishful thinking, but not impossible :-)
(and not including 3rd (or even 1st!) party plugins, as they can already be disabled on launch)
drivers and firmware are easy, the win-patch-version is the tricky one
without wishful thinking we'd still be up the treesit's the most common response from time-squeezed developers - "well it works on my system!"

For a snapshot in time this might work, but I'd imagine maintenance could also be an issue - everything is being updated on a regular basis.
