  • Firewire PCIe card and Focusrite Pro 40 - No one?

Anyone using one of these Firewire cards with their Focusrite firewire I/F in particular the Pro 40.

Well it does say it has a TI chipset... but one 400 port, which your  focusrite is I think?

Don't know about that one, but this SIIG card worked with my Focusrite Pro 24:

I don't have that particular one, but the one I have looks exactly like it and was even cheaper than the one you linked. It works fine with my Saffire Pro-40. I see no brand name on mine - it's about as generic as they come. (Device Manager generically describes it as "Texas Instruments 1384 OHCI Compliant Host Controller".) I suspect they all come from the same factory in China.
 
The seller seems to have a liberal return policy, so it's probably a low-risk purchase. Just don't throw the box away until you know it works.
