Holy moly!  that's cool!  One last question... say I have 4 omnisphere tracks, with printed audio... are you saying it makes sense to just "archive" them all?  If i do that then unarchive them (I've never done this) , does it bring them all back properly in the same place with the same set ups?  If so, this would definitely declutter things if it's quick and easy to do...

bulk archiving all synth tracks, now that we have easy printing to audio would radically change my writing/mixing/cpu considerations and clean up the mixer view considerably.  I assume I can just highlight multiple tracks and archive.  Well... that didn't work.  hmmmm...

Definitely - archive the tracks after you bounce or render. Then you can disconnect the synth (like scook says) to free up CPU etc.

To archive multiple tracks, select them, then RH click, look for "MSR", then you can mute and archive.
