Willy Jones [Cakewalk]
Nobody was ever successful selling double-cheeseburgers in a health food store.
Are you telling me that Mcdonald's isn't a health food company ? After all these years I finally find out the truth.
I can recall reading about a 'Grace' period in the past, so it's not actually something that has been just dropped on everyone.
11 updates, 12 updates, 21 updates, I think it is still a bargain, more so if you got it at the sale price.
I moved away from Sonar 6 or so months ago, but still check in to see how it is going, and renewed my
Subscription Membership for another 12 months. I checked in for Lexington, but found as some others have that performance had seemingly took a step back not forwards, then again there are also a lot of people who have seen the performance benefits, so . . .
I can understand what the dude above is saying about the 'cultish' feel, you do see it a lot when someone says something that is not flattering about Sonar, often they get jumped on by the overzealous, and I guess that is human nature, plus the fact that this is a meeting place for Sonarites, but it is not a good look IMO. Sonar doesn't have to be, or appear perfect, and it isn't, nothing is, and if people have issues and opinions they should be able to express them (done right, and that doesn't mean it has to include arse kissing) without being pounced on by the hoards of overzealous who feel they must jump rightly or wrongly to Sonars Defense at the slightest sign of decent . Don't take that to literally, as in, yes I know it doesn't happen all the time, but it does quite a lot, and when people just quickly jump into defensive mode with big long diatribes and if's and but's and changing tac, to me it's a sure sign that somethings not right in Texas.
Anyway, despite the fact that I have moved away, I still update, still check in now and then, and I think that Sonar is a quality product, and I hope that whatever the performance issue that I and others are seeing under Lexington gets fixed, and I also hope that somewhere down the track Sonar gets something like the Bakers spin on Studio Ones arranger track and scratch pads

(
and a couple of other things, but that would do fine
).
Bake on.
