Well I guess I now have a legitimate reason to truly hate LP's and that's because they are so clunky and heavy they wreck my back causing me very real physical pain.
Previously I "disliked" them because of their stupidly fat and ridgid necks, their (to me) excessively brittle tone and... well their weight and balance always bugged me.
Thing is most other Gibsons I love. Mostly SG's, V's and ES series models.
Just those durned Les Paul. No, sir... I don't like 'em.
But I also don't go and troll the various Gibson forums telling everyone they're garbage... because they aren't. I just don't like them. The fat necks and brittle tone work great for some dudes and the music they play. Good on them.
And I'm not a huge fan of Strats either... except for maybe really OLD and hyper customized ones.
I don't like jumbo frets.
But i have an LP which i put a Bigsby on, adding futher weight. I can't use it all night ..... Shame cos the neck is straight as an arrow.
I like strat frets. On an LP that would be great. But i have a strat with 2 HB's, (american series). It rocks !
Nothing to do with the op........
Cheers
