As we all know, the little blue "input monitoring" button is what you click to hear what you're playing in real time.  A regular audio track, like guitar or bass, is fine.  No problem.  Sometimes, if I have multiple soft synths in a project, when I play my MIDI controller, I'll hear various soft synths even though the input monitoring button is only clicked on one of the synths.  For example, I'll have Rapture BLUE because I wanna hear a pad, but I'll hear Addictive Drums.  Both sounds happen at the same time.

How does one stop this?  I've been meaning to ask this for years.

For tracks you dont want to control with the keyboard, change the midi input to NONE. For the others you have to select the track you are playing first and then you can turn the other tracks monitoring off. It can be a little screwy sometimes.

Ok, thanks.  I guess I'll just turn this into the "dumb ass misc question thread."  Sometimes I hit a button (I don't even know which one) that "shrinks" the "size" of every single track.  I have mine open so I can see all the volumes and panning.  I hit this certain button and it makes the track so you don't see anything except maybe the name of the track.  I don't really know how else to explain it.  Is it possible to undo this right after it happens?

As far as the other problem with the trks getting small, it use to happen to me all the damn time. Aggravating as heck!! But I don't remeber what the solution was!! Sorry : (

If it comes to me I'll post back.

I think there's a "Fit All" or similar bound to either the "F" key or some combo.

Yep, 'F' will Fit all visible tracks to your current screen Vertically, Shift + F will fit them all Vertically and Horizontally, PROVIDED you don't have Auto Track Zoom enabled
