I have a problem. I have sonar essential. I can't create a pattern with audio wave. Is it possible? Like on fl studio if I have a sound of keys or a luagh in wave i could create a pattern. Thank you all. Sorry for my English. 😊

No apology necessary for the English!  I only speak on language, so you are doing better than I am. 
 
Are you wanting to repeat the same audio wave?  I want to make sure I understand the question correctly.  If so, this would be a groove clip function.  Or, are you wanting to play the audio wav on your keyboard?  If so, I believe Essential has the "Dropzone" vst thatcan be used to accomplish this. 

Yes, I want repeat the audio wave, to creating a drum pattern with external audio. Maybe I should read the guide. I thought it was necessary step sequencer but it didn't work. Tomorrow I'll try groove clip. Many thanks! 😊

Hi anselbest and welcome to the forum! If you just want to repeat the audio pattern, groove clip looping is correct. Make sure your snap setting is set to measure, then trim your clip to the desired length. Right click on your clip and choose 'groove clip looping', then extend the right side of your clip to repeat the pattern. 
 
From your second post it sounds as though you want to create a midi clip from an audio clip in order to trigger external sounds. If this is the case let us know as it is a different process.

Thank you For the support. Yes, I want create a sort of pattern, not a very loop with external wav. A riff of drum. With the first way I could create it, but it seems long and not user friendly. Thank you. I'll try to understand what is the Second way. 😊 many thanks.

Sorry anselbest - I am still not sure what you are trying to do. Are you trying to turn an audio clip (wav) into a midi clip to play sounds on an external synth or drum machine?
 

Are you wanting to take a drum loop, chop it into individual hits and re-program as a different rhythm?
