at the bottom of the PRV are listed notes 0 - A, 1 -B, 2 -C, etc that if you draw on with the pencil they start playing that loop in Session Drummer.  Not really sure how it gets named MIDI notes like that, it's not a drum map.  Some sort of instrument feature I never use I guess.

That's for you to trigger the loaded clip in the A-H boxes on the right/bottom side of SD3. Yes I knew about those. That might be what the OP is talking about. Good catch! Didn't even think of that.

Triggering can occur with notes in the octave below the kick drum. SD3 will also play if the start button in the SD3 transport has an orange ring around it. This links the SD3 playback to the host. Clicking the start button in the SD3 transport will toggle this feature.

WRT drum names in the Note pane of the PRV, this is a feature of VST2 where a host can query the note names from the plug-in. BFD3 also supports this feature. It would be nice if other manufacturers did too.

This all would have made a good separate thread as it will likely get lost in this one.

If more companies did this would be great!! I won't hold my breath, but it would be nice.

And yes it will get lost.

I am flattered that you call this adventure good. I stand in awe of what you know of this environment's crevices (so intimately)(censor that). Thank you for your diligence. I've not only learned one new thing. I have learned one I can use. Here's a a layup for Craig some slow Friday.

I suppose I cannot create a new thread that quotes part of a different thread. Or I can do it the hard way. Just because you made it special for me.

I would have professed my crush sooner but I was schooled for not being a hipster, and missing the exception to the life's guiding principle that "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar".
