Thanks Rick, it's good to have that sort of insight when starting something new and complex.  I've had similar good access to real down-to-earth help from jvmforum.com which is dedicated to the JVM series of Marshall guitar amplifiers.  I'm looking to Sonar so as to finally have the ability to make respectable compositions that include my guitar playing.

You'll find lots of guitar players lurking around these parts.

Just finished purchasing Sonar Platinum on the monthly plan!  (also go the Z3TA and Rapture Pro packages and the SWA tutorials). One other question concerning licensing:
The monthly purchase plan makes mention of billing being based on number of enabled users for each billing cycle (1 month).  What are they getting at?  No reference to enabled users if purchased in full outright.  l just want to be sure that I don't violate license terms or get charged extra when I travel and use my laptop instead of my deskside as when at home.  Is Cakewalk going to issue a new license activation each month?  Or what?
Thanks much for all the input to my previous posts.
Phil

You will not be charged extra for installing SONAR on your laptop and your desktop. The same license may be used for both installations regardless of the method of payment.
