This is my first crash report for SONAR !!

In the project I have some Instrument tracks - Dimension, Rapture Session.. they are working fine. I thought to get some from Z3TA+2.

I dragged the Z3Ta+2 to track list as simple instrument. It pops the error window saying:
"Bitmap Resource not found.
C:\ProgramFiles\Cakewalk\Z3TA+2\Resources\Z3TA+2 - Mainpanel_11.bmp
Please verify Resource Folder."
[couldn't paste the screenshot]
Then I clicked OK and ok and ok and.. for all the filenames.
Once there were no more filename Sonar shows its pale face. I had to close.

Now what I have found is
C:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Z3TA+ 2\Resources doesn't contain any .bmp but .png

Also
TextResources.cwres contains ->
; Z3TA+ 2 Resource Text File, right now just for new auth ; use an IDS_nnn to identify a string ; after the , is the text associated.

Steam version of Sonar & Z3ta+ 2 here.

If you have your own presets in the Z3ta presets folder, back up them, just to be sure.

Did you verified the cache on Steam? If not, try it.

After you verified the cache, you need to run Z3ta 1st through Steam, in stand-alone mode. After that you are good to use it in Sonar.

Hope this helps.

That's weird.  Were all the missing images bmp's ?  I guess you've noticed that  Z3TA+2 - Mainpanel_11 is indeed the main panel, but it's a png.

What version of Z3TA+2 are you running (click on Cakewalk) ?  Looks like an old version trying to use new Resources.

Z3TA+2 - Mainpanel_11.png is present and similarly many of .png for which .bmp not present. I am being able to remember the file name. Once thought of opening the .png's and save them as .bmp, but dropped that idea

That also is wired as I never purchased from Steam.

Is is possible you are trying to load an older v2.1 dll? It used bmp files.

Should I try Reinstall?

Edit: But if I have the standalone version running and that is 2 for sure. And I am dragging the Z3TA+2 to the Instrument Track.. I am a bit confused. How do I know from within SONAR which .dll is being accessed with path?

Inside Sonar, select "Utilities" / "Cakewalk Plug-in Manager" in Sonar's main menu.

Then select "VST Instruments (VSTi)" in the "Plug-in Categories" list and select "Z3TA+2_64".
The filename and path will appear near the bottom.

In the Browser, if you click once on "Z3TA+2_64" in "PlugIns" / "Instruments" / "VST2"
you should see zeta's version number appear at the bottom of the Browser window.

Reinstall might overwrite it which would solve the problem.

Post #8 describes how to find a path to the plug-in.

An easy way to see which version is listed in SONAR right-click on the plug-in name in the Browser Plugins > Instruments. This is what it will look like if the VST2 plug-in is the older v2.1

This also works with VST3 plug-ins which typically do not display version information in the Properties > Details tab of the plug-in file (another way to see which version is loading).

Cakewalk, v2.1.0.177,vst2,64bit, in2, out 2
for Z3TA+2

NOW?

Edit: path is g:\Vstplugins\64Bits\Z3TA2\Z3TA+ 2\Z3TA+ 2_64.dll
