Running X3 Studio, and I just updated to Melodyne 4  - I'm running the Assistant version, if that matters.  After starting up Sonar, I noticed that now the Region Effect option is ghosted out.  I can drag the Melodyne effect to a clip and transfer manually, the old-fashioned way. But then two other problems occur:

Used to be that double clicking in the Melodyne window started playback at the clicked location.  It doesn't do that anymore.  I have to click in the track window to start playback.

Second, it used to be that clicking and holding a note sounded it.  Doesn't do that anymore either.

I can't find anything in the options or buttons to turn these things on or off.  If memory serves, they were default functions in the old Melodyne.

Any updated to version 4 with similar problems?

Thanks guys

Usually when the Melodyne option is unavailable it means the VST3 format of the plug-in is not installed. Also make sure you are running X3e. It is required for Melodyne 4.

Thanks, scook.  I thought I was running X3e, but it was X3a.  So I ran the update to X3e, and still no ARA option for Melodyne.  So then I uninstalled and reinstalled Melodyne.  Still same problem.  Anything else I can check for?

Thanks

Does the VST3 version of Melodyne load correctly in SONAR?

It shows up as VST3 in the plug-in browser, and that's the only version installed (64-bit, same as my OS and Sonar). Still no ARA access.

EDIT: update - I uninstalled Melodyne 4, and reinstalled Melodyne 2. Now it won't activate with my serial number. I've dispatched an email to Celemony.  ARGH!!

I'm noticing the global option to quantize audio in Melodyne Studio 4 isn't working as well as it did in Melodyne Editor 3.  Otherwise, it loads properly, I can create region effect, etc.  I tried quantizing a drum track to 8th note triplets and it wasn't close in many instances.  I can clearly see that the section SHOULD be triplets as the midi bass line is near perfect when I quantize with Sonar.  So....
