  • Problem when transferring projects between computers

Hi all.

I frequently work on the same project on 2 different computers - 1 in the studio and the other in a different room.

This has never ever been a problem before Manchester with the only proviso is that both setups have more or less identical plugin setups.

Studiio computer runs under Win 7, the other one is Win 10

What's happening now concerns any instance of Z3TA+2 in the project. After working on it in the studio, I do a Save As to a thumb drive and open it up one machine 2. I immediately get a warning saying "Error Uncompressing Project". The number of identical warnings coincides with the number of instances of Z3TA+2 in the project.

When the project is played, all the Z3 patches have changed and the new patches are all from  the "FREE MUTANT PATCHES" collection.

Like I said, this has never happened prior to Manchester but I know there's still some weird things going on with Z3TA.

Both computers are using the VST3 version 2.2.1 of Z3ta

So, anyone seen anything remotely like this?

Sounds exactly like the problem the new versions of z3ta+2 caused and are trying to fix, ie, loading exising projects, which used the old z3ta+2 and presets, you lose the presets.

If you're sure you have the same version of z3ta+2 on your two machines (2.2.1.114 fixed the problem for some), then it might be something to do with win10.  There's a version 2.2.2 on the way that's supposed to fix this for those still having problems.

Hi Paul.

Yes I read about the impending update.
I did take the precaution of using the Track Notes to identify which synth, bank, patch etc, along with any tweaks I made, so it's easy to restore it to how it should be.

But us Z3TA users can't wait for the update
