When I stop a track by clicking the stop button on the software it transmits a message to my external midi linked pod.
I use the midi cable to transmit cc messages to change patches on the pod. I have checked the event list and there is nothing in there so I have no idea! As soon as I press stop (On screen and not externally controlled etc) I see the message on my pod saying patch "Edited." I have used the Pod completely in isolation to laptop and Sonar use and there is no problem then. I am using the midi out of Sonar only for CC only and no parameter changes etc.

Has anyone got any idea?

Under Preferences and Project and then Midi there is a setting to Zero Controllers When Play Stops. Unchecking that box should fix that for you.

Laugh, it's taken me months to getting around to looking at the forum. I've spent months re programing and resetting my gear!

Thanks for your response.

It is certainly a great idea to try to figure stuff out first, but yeah - these forums are FULL of friendly and helpful folks, with a HUGE collective awareness/understanding of Sonar functionality.

WELL worth posting 'why is this happening' threads, as you will almost certainly get at least one person who has the exact explanation for what is going on.
