HP Envy 7 - SPLAT

I purchased a new Waves Plugin. Opened Waves Central to install it. Waves Central said it would update all of my plugins first and it would install the new plugin.
I have over 800 plugins.
It's been over 8 hours now and the installer is still not past the first popup window.
I have the most up to date Waves Central installed.
What am I doing wrong?

Have you tried shutting down Waves Central and relaunching it?

Reboot and start again.

Sometimes I've needed to run the installer for the Waves Central again. Sounds stupid but download it again and install it. That has always helped when nothing else has happened.

I had this problem and had to clean out the cache for the Waves installer. Go to the troubleshooting instructions non their website. It involves clearing your %APPDATA% which basically gets consumed by Waves Central. Run Waves Central again and reboot. Rescan your plug-ins if you don't do this automatically.
 

When all else fails go to
C:/Users/YourAccountName/Appdata/local/ and delete the whole Waves Audio folder.

Then rerun the installer. It will take some time as it will have to re download the whole Waves installer

First try deleting the Cache folder here: C:\Users\YouAccountName\AppData\Roaming\Waves Audio
 
Then run WC again.
 
The screen it's getting stuck on, is it staying on the "Preparing The Installers. This may take a few seconds" screen? If it's that screen, stop/quit WC and start it again. I have heard people doing it three or four times before it would work.

PS: It's only updating your WAVES plugins...not all your other plugins.  I'm pretty sure you don't have 800 WAVES plugins.

There isn't 800 waves plug-in although I am missing the CLA Teaboy plug-in.

Did you "get latest software" from the website first?
 
Waves Central DOES NOT update your system with the latest version of the installer. I learned this last wee from the Waves support team.
