I know this may be trivial to some people, but how many years have I been asking for dark coloured strips in SONAR? Must be almost a decade. And with the crushing disappointment of Theme Editor a couple of years ago that wouldn't let you have coloured strips in anything other than the unedited Mercury theme it looked like we would put a man on Mars sooner.

One of the reasons I've been working so much in Studio One lately was the fact that it looked like it would never happen. Whenever I asked the question I was told it was a really difficult thing to do. Really?
Well, I've only seen the screenshot but it makes me now feel like it's time to download CbB.

So tonight I'm having a Download Party. There'll be drinks, snacks and obviously 'cake'. In fact, no let's push the boat out and have a BBQ. A CbBQ. But don't come round spoiling the fun telling me it's buggy and crashes all the time. Let me discover that tomorrow with my hangover. Cheers Bakers!

Although it may have some bugs and crashes I'm a huge fan of Cakewalk and I hope you have a blast using it again. Prochannels are amazing.

Refresh my memory, how do you apply those colors, in theme editor or colors?  What are they called? Thanks

Good question. I look forward to finding out once I've downloaded it.

There's so much I've been enjoying in Studio One that is better, but there's a lot of compromises too. I liked hearing that CbB has dark mode for PRV, but when I heard it was only in Tungsten I was sad. Now it looks like I can have Tungsten AND strip colours. Being able to have my cakewalk and eat it too tempts me to jump back in. I have been using SONAR just for existing projects since December. Maybe a rethink may be in order. Having two great DAWs isn't a bad thing.

You click just between the automation indicator and the track number:

[EDIT] The transparency can be set within Preferences->Customization->Colors in the Track Colors section.

I must be missing something, when I use mercury, I have colored track and bus strips. When I use a tungsten derivative I do not.

I wish I could populate the default color palette  with what I choose from  " OTHER " .  The default palette hues don't quite get me what I'm looking for.

Do you have the latest version of Cakewalk?
