It's too bad Subtlearts is likely way too smart to run for office.

I don't have a problem with these threads being locked out.  This guy didn't even ask a question.  "Cakewalk sucks" and "I'm not a beta tester" aren't questions about issues anyone can help to resolve.

I have to laugh at the "I bought you because of Roland".  If this guy started 9/14, I thought Cakewalk was spun off from Roland a year prior, but  I could be wrong.  I guess it's possible he had an old boxed product that still had the "Cakewalk by Roland" logo on it.

In any event, if you have an issue, just ask a question.  Chances are someone has run into it before.

We all know that the OP started this thread with a lot of clearly inflaming words.  That does not mean we need to respond in kind. I fully understand the forum coming to defend Sonar but it isn't needed. Everyone here knows Sonar works well.

The OP would do far better and get useful replies by stating his problems in detail and listing steps he has taken to fix them. A list of his system specs and audio device would prove helpful.

In this forum it is our duty to help not attack. I will lock this thread if nothing useful comes out of it.

Post of the week!!  I've heard the phrase in another forum "beat down Sonar style".  I prefer though threads like this after given some time get deleted.  They usually are bumped. If there were five of these threads then some of us lazy scrollers can't get the useful threads.

If he gets his money back I hope he shares it with us.

Well, here's an easy way to end it - answer his question! He asked:

Question: Sonar sucks and I would like my money back?

Answer: [waves hand slowly from left to right] This is the droid you're looking for. You do not want your money back.

I haven't read much of this thread, but: I wrote to customer support 2 weeks ago, created a "ticket" and everything. Haven't heard one word. So, the headline did catch my attention.

I'm not a Beta tester....while you get rich.
Step up to the plate and prove me wrong.
I started with you because your name was ROLAND...and
now look at us on Forms always trying to resolve your mess.

Hey, where are these mess-cure 'Forms' , no one sent me one. It's not fair.

Hi all,
It has been an entertaining forum to read but looking at the original post it appears that the main issue being raised by pinger7 is contained in the first line, the rest seems to be the poster's emotions taking over and is probably best ignored.  If I read this correctly, pinger7 is unhappy about CW taking his/her money up front and then delivering monthly updates which are at a "post-release Beta stage" and do not meet his/her expectations.

The good news is that CW seems to be focussing more effort on cleaning up the Sonar code over the last few months.  My preference would be to introduce new features quarterly and then tidy these changes up and fix bugs in the intervening months.  That way users who like to participate in the post-release beta effort could do so and the rest could wait till the dust settles.

Cheers

Yeah sure  Dude , I'll step up to the plate .

For a guy with only one post on the forum ,  How does it feel to be" famous " in these parts  for a grand total of a couple of hours because you started  a cry baby thread that has garnered over 3 thousand hits and climbing ....
I honestly do not understand what the payoff is just to go there ...
Please educate me , What is your secret man? ...Color me clueless since all I know how to do is play some music ....

Anyway , I suppose I would rather go out swinging as an unknown happily playing good music recorded in SONAR than a freaking cry baby A$$ Pole

Love you babe , yet,  I sure wouldn't want to be you ,

Kenny

PS I hope you brought an extra diaper with you to the pitchers mound because after you hear the crack of the bat your sure gonna need it ...

That's not normal in my experience. I live outside the USA but my first thought now is to pick up the phone if it's a problem I need to resolve quickly. The support folks are really good to deal with once you have a contact. If you can, pick up the phone to get things rolling. Good luck, I hope you get it sorted.
