• SONAR
  • Upgraded-paid full as always-no meleodyne 4? Is this why? (p.2)

I bought meleodyne assistant long before Sonar upgrade included melodyne essential. I used my asst version to upgrade to editor 2.
Also I am not worried about selling a license actually. What I really need is to see the difference between melodyne editor 2 and melodyne essentials 4. Melodyne site only compares versions 4 to versions 4 that I can find. IOW, in this day and age it is possible that a limited lesser version of an app might be (might) more useful than a full version that is 2 versions older. Does that make sense.

One of the main differences is that Essential is monophonic while Editor is poliphonic.

What is the cost of upgrading from editor 2 to editor 4? given the features, I would have thought it was worth a punt rather than downgrading to essential 4 (I am guessing it will still be a slight downgrade on editor 2 despite the improvements in functionality)

$99. I am in a home studio for myself, so I try to justify purchases. What Atsuko mentions above is a biggie.
Guess I'll just stay where I am.

Thanks
