Recently, all my midi instruments are delayed. That is, while recording, the note sounds about 150 milliseconds away from striking the keyboard. This is with all instruments in all songs. I must have changed something inadvertently. I don't use midi often. What would be a prioritized  investigation as to the culprit?

thanks,

Can you give us a bit more info about your set up?  What Sonar incarnation and version are you running?

Did you change your audio interface driver mode from ASIO to something else.  Did you increase your Audio buffer size.  What is your reported round trip Latency as reported by your audio| driver settings? (at the bottom of that particular setting's window).  Are all of your hardware divers the latest version (not just for audio hardware), etc.  Maybe delete your AUD.ini file and restart Sonar (renaming the original of course)

Others will likely have other things to try....

Hi:)

First Click on "PDC" and look if the problem is gone, then look at Settings --> Driver Settings on your latency time, it should not be more then 10 milliseconds, better less...

Basseman.  That was it. The PDC button was not engaged. I didn't even know about it. I'll have to read about it. Thank you so much!

HI:)

Don't forget to Deselect PDC after Recording. For Mixing I always have a latency of more than 100 ms.

Bassman.
