I just received the email from Celemony.  The download says
"Installation program for Windows – contains the stand-alone and all plug-in implementations of Melodyne" so I'm going to do it.

I installed it and it will not activate.

Instead of activating it created a bunch of hex data in the copy/paste command and I sent it off to Celemony.

They are going to help me "as soon as possible."

Perhaps my internet connection was too slow for them to validate me.

Suerte.

Same thing here. So, I am sure it is a bug. Well, I feel like it is anyway.

Sorry you're having a problem.  I uninstalled per instruction, then installed the new version and then activated it using the standalone. Then rescanned my VSTs in Sonar and all is well here.

Thanks for the info.

I didn't un-install first.  I didn't see any instructions. Just a Zip file with a Setup.exe (BTW, Microsoft identified it as not a valid program and I had to override the "do not run").

The setup seemed to be successful.

I rescanned VSTs and the program was scanned properly and was running in the play only mode, ready to be activated.

It gave me a message to try again later. I re-booted and tried again, but same result.

I tried stand alone mode but got the same error.

I suspect they sent out the update, and everybody and his brother is trying to activate online, and they are overloaded. But is is just a guess.

I'll let you know what turns out.

Lucky I created a system restore point before all of this.

I'm a definite believer in restore points.  Good luck.

Hello,

Same here except that I kept hitting the retry. On the 4th try,  the page came up that allowed me to authorize. You then have to exit Sonar (if open) and re-enter. IHTH...

I also got an e-mail from Celemony. The link contains my serial number in the URL, but when I click on it, a message comes up saying it's not found on the server. Is Cakewalk going to update the version in Command Center?

I had the same experience as blazingedgepro. I also tried checking for an update from the Settings screen in Melodyne, and it told me it couldn't connect to the server.

I just tried to get to Celemony login page for another product - it seems to be down right now

The Celemony site is up however - could just be too many folks trying to get to the login to register or update or upgrade and it's choking
