Jim Roseberry
Download the latest Komplete Kontrol driver (v392)
Extract the zip file
Right-click on "Komplete Kontrol Driver Setup PC.exe" and choose Trouble-Shoot Compatibility.
Select the lower option "Trouble-Shoot Program"
Select the option "Program Worked In An Earlier Version Of Windows"
Click Next and select Windows 8... and complete the process

Now run "Komplete Kontrol Driver Setup PC.exe"
It may want to uninstall the existing driver... let it do so.
Run "Komplete Kontrol Driver Setup PC.exe" again... and it'll install the driver.
The driver will now be installed... with no yellow exclamations in Device Manager.

I finally got the driver to install.  I tried your method above directing to windows 8 , ( Never knew that existed THANKS Jim ) But that didn't work either ..
So I finally did find a way , Native instruments sent me a page full of suggestions , And go figure last one worked ,  So if any one else has my same issue , the way I was able to get this driver installed was manually installing the driver , going to this location when your prompted to. C: > Program Files > Native Instruments > *Device Name* Driver > Inf

BTW thanks Jim and Alex for your time to help me out!!! Jim thanks for the heads up on the update!!
:)
