  • [Solved AGAIN!] Xpand!2 v2.2.7 weirdness

Xpand!2 has stopped generating output. I tested it in a couple of different environments...MIDI in, but no audio out. Reinstalled. No help. Hybrid3 still works fine. I'm fully up-to-date on Windows updates, so I'm wondering if a recent change to Win10 is responsible.

Anyone have Xpand!2 still working on the latest Win10? If so, then it's my problem. Thanks in advance for checking.

It's working for me, within Sonar. I have Win10 (up to date) and Splat2017.8.

Xpand!2 still working here.  Have not updated Win10 since July though.  Running Anniversary update 1607 with July patches, and the latest Sonar update for Aug.

Xpand!2 v2.2.7 working OK here too on both Windows 10 (v1703) and Windows 7.

Thanks all. Very strange. Worked great until a couple of weeks ago. Weird that a clean reinstall didn't help. Oh, well.

I think xpand! stopped outputting sound for me at one point and it had to do with the wrong midi channel (possibly set that way in a present)

Xpand!2 has a sample file "Xpand2.big" that gets setup during the install.  If you move things around, it might lose it's place.  Best thing to do if in doubt is uninstall & re-install.

That was it. Thanks!

Still weird. The only choices you have for the MIDI channel (?) are 1, 2, 3 and 4. I now have to change to '2' to get audio out.

Guess what? It was one of my dogs! My chihuahua loves to get up on my DAW desk when I'm out of the house. He climbs across my keyboard to get there. Somehow, the little stinker managed to reprogram it. A hard reset set me straight.

Who'd a thunk it?
