Anyone know how to easily A/B (compare) tracks in SONAR?

Use Mix Recall in your control bar. You can save a scene and then do an alternate mix, save that and then click between them to hear the differences. If that's what you are asking it's very easy in SONAR.

In my experience, mix recall takes a little while to load, so A/B this way has a delay.
 
If you just want to A/B two tracks in SONAR, solo one of the tracks, then right click the solo button, choose group, then A (or another group name and color). Then right click the other track's solo button (which should NOT be solo'd), and choose the same group. Now clicking either solo button reverses the solo of the two grouped solo buttons at the same time.

+1 to grouping track solo buttons in opposite states. This can also be done to A/B between a mixdown track outputting directly to Main Outs and the 'live' mix on the Master Bus. But always use the track's solo button to toggle between the two to get the right behavior. Using Mutes grouped in opposition will also work in this scenario, and gives a smoother transition.

I may have misunderstood the question. I was answering how to A/B a single track with different settings. 

I bounce a mix to a track with its outputs direct to the interface. Save the scene and then create a new scene. I mute the bounced track. Change up the mix as I like and bounce to a new track which I likewise route directly to the interface.

Now, unmute all bounces and enable the exclusive solo. When you switch the solo from one track to another it deactivates the previous solo and enables the next instantly.

You can use Skype or some other web based audio chat to have a band member do a blind listen to the tracks. It can be done in person too of course.

No need for scenes, grouping, mixdowns or anything else

The only disadvantage to exclusive solo is having to move the mouse and hit the other S button. Grouping allows you to keep hitting the same S button, which means you can do it with your eyes closed. And we all know how much better songs sound with your eyes closed :)

I'll have to try this.  Usually I import the final un-dithered mix wave file into a separate Sonar project where I master it.  I import a reference mix into a separate track that outputs to the mains.  But, in order to A/B I have to solo one track and then the other.  I want to do that with just one click to gain match the reference, etc.  Thanks.
 
 
Update:  Just tried it.  Works perfectly!  Great tip/trick!!
