I'm definitely not counting on the next update for the UI stuff.   It just seems like a big task to do right.  I know Panu did a great job with SONAR mods, but the Bakers have to fully support their version and make it extendable from update to update.  Either way, this is probably one of the things I am looking forward to the most!
 

Me too Steve.  As anxious as I am to have the new UI, I hope they take their time and get it just right before it gets released.

It's funny that this is such a big deal to me, but really it is.  I still have these weird memories of being excited when I upgraded to X3 & then SPLAT and groaning when I launched Sonar.
 
Aesthetics have such a clear connection to creativity. 
 
 
 
 

For me it's the practical aspects.  Contrast, widget sizes ... stuff like that.  If there happens to be some inspirational aspects to it, I'll take it!
