... and its been like that before. Is it just me or anybody has similar experience? I am not doing anything special, just browsing presets or playing a midi through it.

Which version of Dim Pro. The latest (I think) is 1.5

Yes, I am as current as one can be.

Hi. Does this happen on every project? Are there any other plugins in the project that crashes?
Best of luck.

I am working on just one project for a week. There were no crashes before at all. And I have only TH2, Amplitube 3, some Nomad reverb and chorus. CPU usage is very low. The moment I inserted Dim Pro - bum, loads of crashes.

Is there a certain patch that does it,  or is it just any patch?

Are you running Sonar "As Administrator"?

FYI, the latest version of DP is 1.5.5.16

I would look at your installed memory. Memory can go bad.

It happens when I browse  any sound, drums, brass, whatever. And the sample sizes are really low, like 2-3mb.

Yes, always.

I have to reveal I am Windows layman, but the system is restarted after very crash so I guess memory is cleared. My RAM is 24GB.

What happens if you leave Sonar down for a moment, and try to run Dim Pro in stand alone mode and work through some different patches.  Does it work OK that way?

And, is it possible the disk drive you have Dim Pro sample content on might be one of those 'green' drives?  For some reason, sometimes these seem to confuse Sonar.

And, you might check the Windows Event Viewer, when a crash occurs, to see if something is being reported there.

Lastly, what sample rate is Dim Pro set to use, and what sample rate is your project using?  There are some micro-host hot keys for both Rapture and Dim Pro, that can adjust the sample rate, and you might want to make sure those are in sync.  I don't know if that would cause it to fail, I just always have made mine the same.
