Sup guys? Got Sonar Platinum for Christmas,but Imma S1 user but I was messing around with Sonar today. Looks great..absolutely love the GUI. I was wondering how to record FL into it though. I've tried running it as a VST and as an instrument. I know how to route FL's mixer to Sonar's but the record button seems disabled. Sonar's meters reacts to the audio in FL, everything is routed..please tell me that I don't still have to bounce the stems out of FL. I really wanna use some of these Cakewalk plugins to mix my beats.

i don't use FL Studio often, but when i do, i bounce stems out of FL.
 
i've tried both using FL as a plugin & rewired.  it's weird how FL's tempo read-out doesn't even match the tempo of Sonar.  but i have experienced massive crashes when trying to integrate FL into Sonar.  when i asked for tech support from FL this past year, i was told that they didn't even own Sonar over at Image-Line.  that was the last time i bothered trying to use FL Studio inside Sonar

I know how to rewire...I use Reason 8 inside of FL all of the time...still the same issue. Meters jump to show that everything is routed properly...I just can't record what's coming out of FL.

It works fine here. If the meters on the track you're recording to in SONAR are moving and you arm the track (press the red record button on the track) then press R to record, it should definitely work. When you say "the record button seems disabled," which one are you referring to? 
 
BTW, I'm using FLS as a VSTi; I never use Rewire.

Are you sure the track is armed, then? I think that record button is disabled if no tracks are armed.

Ok, tried again, I armed the track for record...hit record...it plays back the song from FL..just doesn't record anything into Sonar.

Is the input for the track you armed set to the output from FLS?

Hmmm..you know it..that just may be it..but the input only gave me options for my midi keyboard...let me open it back up.
