I seem to have this bug in Sonar Platinum that causes the program to crash (Windows reports this program has stopped working)
It only seems to happen if I have an existing MIDI track and want to record a 2nd comp track over it.  I will record the 2nd MIDI track in Comping Mode, and when I press stop, Sonar immediately crashes.   This has happened on various instruments, including Lounge Lizard, EZ Drummer, Kontakt 5....so far any virtual instrument.   I don't have any efx added anywhere in the project.
This is happening on a brand new computer (It didn't do this on my old computer) but everything is freshly installed, including the OS, which is Windows 10 Pro 64-bit.  I have more than enough computing power (see my specs below).  So I'm not sure what the problem is.
Additional info:
If I delete the old MIDI track first and THEN record a new track, it will NOT crash.  It will only crash if there is an existing MIDI track and I do a Comping Record.  Also doing a Sound on Sound record will not make it crash either.
I am using the latest build of Sonar Platinum, the latest releases of all VST plugins, and all my drivers are up to date.
Thanks for any help or suggestions,
Lee

Ah! So it's a known bug?  Do you know what's causing it?  A Windows 10 thing?
Either way, I'm glad to hear it'll be fixed, so I won't have to reinstall everything again!
Thanks Noel!

This kind a happens to me as well. I use Phalanx from Vengeance sound & when I create a 16 track midi sequencer, it crashes on the second or third take. This is not happening when I insert a singel Phalanx track. Was after the latest update I guess.

In the mean time, I believe this only happens if you record with lanes showing. So just collapse lanes before recording.

Yeah, I didn't check Problem Reports Forum first,  I see now other people have this issue as well.
