I bought Z3TA+ 2.1 and I can't install it on my music PC which is Windows XP SP2. When I run the set up program, after choosing the language English, it immediately closes. No error messages, it just silently disappears. Even after rebooting, the installer doesn't work. I also tried deleting all Cakewlk registry keys but it didn't help. I have a second PC (Windows XP SP3) that I use for non-music functions and Z3TA installs without a problem on it. However, it is of no use to me on that machine. I see that the minimum requirement for Z3TA+ 2.1 is Windows SP3 but is that really necessary? I am reluctant to update my music PC which is perfectly stable otherwise. Any ideas?

Hey guys -

Yes, you need SP3 to install Z3TA+ 2.1, we don't support SP2.

Windows XP is such an old operating system at this point that when we were deciding what operating systems we would support, we knew that the only way to guarantee that our testing would line up with the user experience was if we knew we were all on the same service pack, and obviously the majority of XP users have updated to SP3.

I am thrilled to say upgrading to Windows XP SP3 solved my install problem! By the way, Z3TA is fantastic. Thanks.
