A right click anywhere in the Event list gives a useless option to go the Event Manager, or to select/deselect a display type.  But of course with that kind of useless context menu, you have to right click over and over to change a series of selections.   Up on the top of Event List, "View", has exactly the same options.     What a mis-use of a context menu.

Please improve this: right click on a note, gives appropriate note options.
   - Change note, change velocity, change duration
Right click on a Program Change gives appropriate Program Change options.
   - Change 'Change Type', change bank, change patch number.
Right click on a Controller gives appropriate Controller options.
   - Change controller number, change value.

And I really miss Sonar 5's ability to change one event into another event -- as far as I can tell it just can't be done.   So the rapid solution to inserting an event, duplicate what is under the mouse and rapidly change it to controller or note  or pitch bend or patch change, is no longer possible .... extra clicks every time, for something that is done thousands of times.

Is this important?  Yes ... I just counted.  I have 678 program change events to modify.   It takes six movements each, including one time-consuming 'drag' in the Bank/Patch Change dialog.      About 10 seconds a change.   If that dialog were improved so that I could type a program number rather than dragging up a 127-unit list, it would be faster.   but you type a 1 and it jumps to 100 ... really helpful.    100 minutes to do that change, for one relatively small project out of hundreds.    One shrinks from the drudgery and comes here to offer feature requests.     Back to the feature request: keep it simple -- click on the program number, type the new number, hit down arrow.  Do the next one.   A second or less each.

double-click in the Kind column for the "Kind of Event" dialog.

Thanks scook, that works.   But the event list is a computer keyboard thing, so this x3 new improved user interface means:  reach for the mouse, knock over the coffee cup, double click,  shift your mouse over to the other screen where the dialog popped up, click something, close the darn dialog,  push the keyboard back in place, and get back to typing.

William please save yourself the grief of making these feature requests for old products, as per my reply in one of your other threads, to the best of my knowledge and some twenty plus years of using Cakewalk software products, Cakewalk are not about to do any retrospective changes to products that are not current releases.

Unfortunately X3 is now within that category I fully appreciate that it is frustrating but there is little one can do about the relentless onward rush of progress.

Enter is the same as double-click. Once in the dialog, you can use cursor keys to change/select values, and Tab or hit accelerator keys to navigate around.

" I have 678 program change events to modify"

Are they the same change i.e. you are changing all for the same value or do they require different values?

They require different values ... thanks to almighty CAL, I spent 15 minutes programming and did the job.

I asked because there is the Interpolate command for such changes as I asked about.
