There used to be a great connection between Microsoft and Cakewalk. With the new ownership I wonder. Will surface products still be supported? Does it make any sense in getting such devices instead of true studio gear?

I use a Surface Pro 3 as a portable device and I find Sonar (or Cakewalk as it is now) runs best of almost all DAW's on it.  Although mine is an i5-4300u with only 4 gb ram and I can't load up as many plugins as on my main computer and do need to freeze tracks when a project gets big enough.  If I would have looked into it a little more I would have gotten an Asus GL503VD instead, it's far cheaper than any comparable Surface
