Seems to be working fine here.  Finally!

I didn't check NI's Service Center until the 1.3 post above, but there are also updates to GR5 (5.2.1) and Supercharger (1.3) in there as well (I wonder if they all had the same "fix" applied). Worth noting anyway. Downloading them now.

1.3 update is working here too. Finally! 

1.3 works for me. Splat is not slowed down anymore.

I haven't downloaded 1.3 yet, and wonder if the preset name issue has been fixed. In 1.1 (and probably 1.2 too), if you save a preset using the Save As menu in the GUI, closing and reopening the project without changing the parameters at all will add an asterisk to the preset name. This isn't a compatibility issue between Sonar and Replika. I also confirmed it in Studio One. Supercharger also has the same issue. I contacted NI several weeks ago and they said they were working on the fix.

Now on v1.3...and so far so good...no Platinum crash...fingers crossed...
