Is there any way to tell Sonar to *rebar* the piece you performed in Sonar?

You mean tell SONAR where the downbeats are in a piece that was recorded without a click? If so, Set Measure/Beat At Now (Shift+M) does this. Set the Now time at the beginning of a note using the tab-to-note feature, Shift+M, and enter the measure and beat. SONAR calculates the tempo needed to make that beat fall on the specified absolute time of the MIDI note. The absolute playback timing of the MIDI is not affected. It's easiest of the first note is at 1:01:000. If not, there are a few additional hoops to jump through to set the initial tempo and get the start of the clip aligned with the correct starting beat.

When did I call Sibelius a DAW?  It's not SUPPOSED to be a DAW.  And, I never said that Sonar is SUPPOSED to be a notation software.  However, what I was actually saying was that, if it's possible for them to work together, Sonar should have that enabled.  And, apparently they do.  Here's the solution to my original question:

I have rewired Notion to X2 i think it was. I have a dual monitor so the notation software was on one monitor and sonar on the other.

Playback is controlled by sonar. You can load the orchestral vst's in Notion and write your parts. Then you have the choice of importing the midi data into sonar or rendering the various instruments as audio files and then importing them into your sonar project.

So it is possible but I would it a bit clumsy.

I ended up exporting a mix from sonar and then importing that into Notion and creating my string parts.

I posted a thread a while back about this topic and it grew to be about 30 pages!!! This is a very heated discussion at times. Cakewalk have made some minor improvements in the last several months to the notation view. Not leaps and bounds but comforting to know that they are at least working on it.
I, too, use Notion along with Sonar if I need the details of an arrangement such as dynamic markings, etc. At the very best, Sonar's notation is a scratch pad. Don't get me wrong, I still use it almost on a daily basis sometimes. And I hope that someday Cake will deliver on a notation feature in Sonar that is worthy of being included in Sonar.
Now that is all I have to say because in my opinion we all pretty much exhausted ourselves on that 30 page thread last year!!!!! LOL!
BTW, Notion can be Re-Wired in Sonar! I use that quite a bit as well.

I posted a video above with someone using Sibelius and Sonar. It's all virtual MIDI cables.
