Hi- It's been a while since I've been around here - had no need since Sonar X3e has been running pretty faultlessly for me.

Recently I bought a new plugin from Waves - Kramer HLS Channel.  I went through the process of installing the plugin, which involved updating their "Waves Central" software.  Since I have quite a few Waves plugins, now when I now open my existing projects, or try to insert any Waves plugins, Sonar reports that they can't be found.  I tried re-scanning all my plugins in Sonar, but to no avail.

This doesn't seem to be an issue with Waves in general, as I also run Reaper & Mixcraft on my computer, and both of them have no problems running all my Waves plugins.

Any help in this regard would be much appreciated, as I have a lot of projects that are currently in limbo due to this issue.  Thanks.

Many of us have had this problem. It is the new Waves Central thing. There is a solution.
Move ALL your licenses back to the cloud.
Uninstall all your Waves plugs.
Reinstall with the new Waves Central.
Move your licenses back to the computer.
Re-set, then rescan plugins in Sonar.
They should all be there.

Pretty sure "Waves Central" moved them from where they used to be. Locate the appropriate Waveshell DLL and make sure that path is in Sonar's plugin scan path list.

Regards,
Dan

If that doesn't work, contact support at Waves. I have found the guys there to be among the best out of all the pro audio players.

Glad to hear that worked for you Andrew. I had to move my Waves licenses to an external HD to get them to work. For some reason they wouldn't function from my DAW computer's HDs. I also don't have my DAW computer online except to update, etc, so the cloud didn't work for me.

Love the Kramer HLS channel !!

Thanks Joel,

I haven't really had a chance to check out the HLS channel yet - looking forward to it...

I went through and deleted all the Waves files on my HD before re-installing - from what I have read, that may have helped... There were quite a few, so it took some time.

I stick my Waves licences on a SanDisk usb stick plugged into the back of my PC, and have had no probs at all.
In fact thinking about it, on the same stick there's Plugin Alliance licences and others on there - as I recall, they make their own folders on the thing once directed. Oh well.
