Can anyone advise how I get a single midi track driving two or more different soft synths in MC6? I know I could copy the midi track into each synth's track but I want a single source to edit.

you can do that with a drum map.  you have to edit the outputs of each note telling it which softsynth to output to.

Thanks for the reply.  So, if I'm doing this for the purpose of layering sound, i.e. two synths playing the same notes, will the drum map solution work?  It kind of sounded like each note would assigned to a different synth?

The only solutions I know are using linked clips copied to the appropriate tracks or drive the synths from a master track using virtual MIDI cable such as LoopBe1 or LoopMIDI. I think most here use linked clips.

That's correct, the drum map would only work for sending different notes to different synths.  if you want to send the same notes to different synths the easiest way IMO would be to copy the MIDI track as many times as you want the same notes to be sent to different synths.

Thanks guys, linked clips does the job. The drum map is a great idea and I'll try that out soon.
