Hello, I am having a problem with track separation. I record drums on track 1 left channel input then when I record bass on right channel input track 2 the drum track also records on the track and after all 6 tracks are done it sounds like hell putting it mildly. I have tried everything I know to stop it to no avail. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks, Dave

Welcome to the forum!
You give no details whatsoever (hardware specs, track routing, recording method etc) to start solving the problem.
Anyways, the most usual cause of the issue you describe is that the soundcard has a feature called
"Stereo Mix" or similar  enabled (the naming may vary, I don't remember the usual alternatives).
Are you talking about recording audio or soft synths? I assume it's audio.
If MIDI is involved, make sure every instrument uses its own MIDI channel.

input echo buttons on other tracks on ?  ...more info as noted would help

the "usual alternatives" Kalle is talking about are "What You Hear" or similar.  turn that off.

Thanks so much for all the replies and thru process of elimination I figured out that the problem was I wasn't setting the pan all left or right and that was it! Everything is working as it should now. Thanks again
