Hello, so out of nowhere my A800 pro decided to not function and not send any midi signals. On the keyboard display it says
Vers 5.535 [ENTER] i press enter, then says Erase? [L9] and i press it then it says Sure? [L3] and then Please send SMF.
And that's it. That's the only thing it can do.

Now after a research i did the sending of .SMF file (p00001.smf found on internet) with UpdSMF program i found on the message boards. and nothing, instead of Ver. 5.535 it says Ver 1.150.

So i've tried just about eveything, and i am pretty desperate. And i would very much appreciate it if someone helped me to fix this insanity.

Do you think it would help to try and reset it back to factory settings???
If so, here are the instructions right out of the manual (p 70)

70
System Settings (EDIT Mode)

This will return the A-PRO to its factory-set condition.

1
Simultaneously press the [ACT] button and the ["back arrow"
] button.
2
Use the [VALUE] knob to select “FACTORY RESET,” and press the
[ENTER] button.
“SURE?” will appear, blinking, in the display.
3
If you are sure that you want to
execute the factory reset operation,
press the [ENTER] button.
“FACTORY RESET” will appear, blinking,
in the display while the factory reset
operation is being carried out.
Once the factory reset is complete, “COMPLETE!” will appear in the display. You’ll
then be returned to Play mode

well that's the thing. those messages that keep appearing on the desplay are the only things that show up, ever.

is there any way i can reset from the hardware?

You'll have to turn off the controller first.  When you restart, follow the directions holding the ACT and back arrow buttons while powering on.
This should take you to the edit list (hopefully).
I didn't see how you could do like a "firmware" update from the computer.
There could be a way, I just didn't see it yet.

did that, didn t work. my keyboard is stuck in a limbo

there is a "way" to update the firmware from the PC. with a little program UpdSmf where you run a .smf file and sends the info into the keyboard to updated it. I only have one .smf and it's from an A300 pro and i think it's outdated.

Sounds like it is.  I was checking the manual so let me look again and see if they have an updated version online.
