New song It is pretty much done just a few tweaks here and there left maybe some more oohs and ahhs. :)

Thoughts, comments and suggestions are welcome peeps! :)

Great voice! Drums up, and maybe, give the drums a little more to do? You are clearly going for something minimalist here, which is nice as well.

A couple of passes on the guitar maybe? It's a great mellow progression, and well played, and maybe there's a d string that moved a little flat in a passage or two. Won't be noticed by the majority of listeners.

It all hinges on the voice, and the feeling of the song, which is very strong. To be able to sing like that? Great stuff, you should feel extremely satisfied with that vocal performance.

cheers,
-Tom

Hi Rex,

Another great vocal performance from you, love the sentiment of the song.

Puts me in mind of Glen Campbell who I think is excellent.

Liked the guitar solos as well.

Thanks for sharing.

Good Job!

Thanks for the compliments (especially on my voice) and the helpful suggestions also!

This was the very first song I ever wrote, I was 18 years old when I wrote it.

I am just finally getting around to recording it around 30 years later.

I had an a optimistic view on life back then I guess. :)

You peeps are awesome for taking the time to let me know what you think!

Best to you all!!!

A very nice laid back song, vocals have been recorded well and sound great on my laptop speakers. I liked the minimal instrumentation, suites the song well.

A very good song -- laid-back but focused, with a really nice feel to it. First rate vocal work. I like the fiddle part that drifts in around 1:17. A really nice touch.

I agree with above comment about the drums -- they seem a bit too subdued, and maybe just a wee bit more bite might help? I don't do very much rock/pop/country type stuff (actually I don't do any, frankly), so take that with a block of salt.

But overall, I really like this song. A very pleasant listen.
