Hi Everyone,

We ran into something similar when we were testing some internal/api changes. It looks like a Win10 auto update may be the culprit. Ryan and I were both also on Win10/x64 when it happened to us.

In any case - if you're experiencing this please try installing this build:

If this resolves the issue for you please report back and let us know so we can get it up ASAP.

Thanks and sorry for any headaches.

Edit: to fix link

Willy,
That build seems to have fixed the error I was seeing on Windows 10 Pro (x64).
thanks!

Just adding one more voice to this. I did a clean install of Windows 10 two weeks ago to fix other problems (and it did! mostly.) and at that time I used Command Center to install the Sonar stuff (not everything yet, just the important parts) and everything was fine.

But Sonar crashed on me last night and I remembered there was an update so I started Command Center and tried it and... crash! I just tried installing the new version and it still crashes every time no matter what I do (Update Sonar, Install All, install just one of the other products, deleted all temp files, uninstall, reboot, reinstall).

Working now with CCC 1.1.2.4 .  Thanks very much Willy Jones and Cakewalk and thanks for not being in Manila or Mumbai when these problems crop up.  My subscription is definitely worth it.

Solution for the CCC crash on Windows 10:
Just désinstalle the two last Windows updates: KB3132372 KB3119147 and all will works fine again.

THIS is the correct answer!!!!  THANK YOU! I only found KB3132372 and uninstalled that one, which only took about 30 seconds, didn't find the other one. So I tried CCC again without rebooting and it worked right away!

Thank you! (Merci!!)

Uninstalling KB3132372 will fix it, however this isn't a great solution:

a) It's a security patch for flash, removing it makes your PC vulnerable
b) If you're on Win10 it will just re-install next time your PC updates

We've already opened a support ticket with Microsoft a few days ago about it, and you can use the temp build we put up in the interim. Short of Microsoft fixing the issue in their embedded browser , we're looking into using Chrome instead in the future.

Exactly, it will just get reinstalled. That might be the best way to explain it actually: Uninstall it, do the updates in CCC, then run Windows Update again to reinstall it. Presumably, this wont be an issue again for a little while until there are more Cakewalk updates, and hopefully a solution can be found by then.

1.1.2.4 worked for me.  Windows 10 64-bit.  Thank you!
