it's a windows 10 security patch problem:
Sicherheitsupdate für Internet Explorer Flash Player für Windows 10 Version 1511 für x64-Systeme (KB3132372)

as workaround you could uninstall this update and let's hope cakewalk can fix it fast!

Post a similar thread about the same problem, was directed here and the listed Com-Center build did the trick.  Thanks

Feed this back to Microsoft that your users are upset about this and appreciate your work in fixing their issue. Its up to Microsoft to foresee potential security risks and code apis in a consistent way. Being totally honest here Windows 10 is the best windows ive used .. but its nowhere near as reliable as ios. On another note perhaps you should code sections with larger error handling.. typical coders counter the errors they imagine (file not found) .. but not ones they don't (disk not found).. In your install program you should try capture errors you cant imagine why they would happen (flash player failed to instantiate.. don't display flash but continue with install ).. in sonar itself performance matters so you probably shouldn't do that :)

Thanks we have reported it to Microsoft, but not holding our breath for a real fix. We should have a permanent solution available soon.

Unfortunately in regards to this error - it is impossible to catch the exception. When it fails it kills the entire process and this failure occurs in a Microsoft library. Lots of other things were hit pretty bad by this, including Skype, the Sims and a few other games/apps that were using IE to display content.

Hi all,
just my 2 cents, CCC version 1.1.2.4 worked flawlessly fixing the issue in no more than 20 seconds.
Very well done Cakewalks guys!
